You may have heard last week that Google sold its popular 3D tool Sketchup to Trimble. Also, remember last year Trimble bought Tekla too. For everyone wondering what this means to SketchUp and Google Earth, apparently the models submitted will still be in an 3D Warehouse hosted by Google, but owned by Trimble. It’s hard to tell but it seems like the integration with Google Earth will remain… for now.
The team at Synchro has uploaded a new build for PRO 5 that contains some bug fixes and improvements.
Greg Demchak, the Director of Product Management at Synchro posted in a company blog post.
Main purpose of the build is to start beta testing company for AVEVA & Intergraph integration via ISO 15926 plug-in module. The only module has status of beta version and currently available in 32-bit client only.
We’ve all been there. You try to export an animation from Synchro, and using one of the Video Codecs, to find that Synchro produces an AVI that is 2.5 GB (or bigger) for every minute. The Microsoft codecs aren’t much help. I’ve been using the Lagarith Lossless Video Codec for a few years now and I find that its one of the best codecs to use with Synchro Animations. Its easy to install, the files aren’t nearly as big (still a hefty 750-MB per minute though), and the quality is superb.
